Ocean Freight

Ocean Freight Forwarding

FCL and LCL ocean freight from Jebel Ali, Khor Fakkan and every major GCC port to anywhere your cargo needs to go — managed end-to-end by people who do this every day.

From the moment your purchase order is raised to the moment your cargo is delivered, World Zone manages every step of the ocean freight chain — rate negotiation with carriers, container booking, export and import documentation, port handling, and full cargo tracking from origin to destination.

FCL and LCL — both managed in-house

We move both Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments. FCL is the right choice once your cargo fills most of a 20ft or 40ft container — you get a sealed unit, faster transit and the lowest per-unit cost. LCL gives smaller shippers access to ocean economics by sharing space inside a consolidated container, with weekly departures on every major trade lane.

The ports we work through

The UAE sits on one of the most important shipping corridors in the world. Jebel Ali Port is the busiest container terminal in the Middle East and connects to virtually every major shipping line. We also routinely move cargo through Khor Fakkan, Port Rashid, Khalifa Port and partner ports across Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait. Our local presence at each port means clearance, handling and inland delivery stay coordinated.

What's included in every ocean shipment

What we manage end-to-end

  • Carrier rate negotiation with leading shipping lines (Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd, ONE and others)
  • Container selection — standard 20ft / 40ft, high-cube, refrigerated, open-top, flat-rack, tank
  • Booking, BL preparation, certificate of origin and full export/import documentation
  • Pre-shipment inspection coordination where required
  • Real-time vessel tracking and proactive ETA updates
  • Destination customs clearance and last-mile delivery

When ocean freight is the right call

Ocean is the most cost-effective option for the vast majority of international cargo. It wins decisively when your shipment is heavy, bulky, or non-urgent — anything from machinery, building materials and industrial equipment to FMCG, retail stock and project cargo. If your delivery window is four weeks or more, ocean will almost always beat air on landed cost. For an in-depth comparison see our guide on ocean vs air freight.

Why shippers stay with World Zone

We are not a freight broker re-selling a single carrier's rates. With 20+ years of carrier relationships and own offices in the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and India, we shop the market for the best combination of cost, transit time and reliability for each individual shipment. Our customs team handles clearance in-house at most major ports we serve, so the freight and the paperwork stay joined up. Send us your shipment details and we will come back with a tailored quote within 24 hours.
