Not every shipment fills a full container — and not every shipment is urgent enough to justify air freight. Consolidation and groupage gives smaller shippers the cost advantages of ocean freight by sharing container space with other cargo bound for the same destination.
How LCL consolidation works
We aggregate cargo from multiple shippers into a single container at our consolidation hub, sail it as one ocean shipment, and deconsolidate at the destination port for onward delivery to each consignee. You pay for the cubic volume your cargo actually occupies (charged per cubic meter or kilogram, whichever is greater), not for an empty container.
Weekly departures on major lanes
From the UAE we operate regular consolidation departures to most major global ports — Europe, the Indian Subcontinent, East Africa, North America, the Far East, Australia and onward feeders. Schedules are weekly or fortnightly on the busiest lanes, so cargo rarely waits long at origin for the next vessel.
When LCL is the right choice
LCL works best for
- Smaller shipments (typically 1–15 cubic meters) that don't fill a container
- Cargo where the budget is too tight for air freight but transit can wait weeks rather than days
- Regular small replenishment shipments where consistency matters more than speed
- E-commerce, samples, spares, retail stock-up shipments
- Shippers testing a new market before committing to FCL volumes
FCL, LCL or air — choosing the right mode
Mode selection is one of the most consequential freight decisions you can make. A rough rule: under ~12 CBM, LCL almost always beats FCL on cost. Above ~15 CBM, FCL usually wins. Air freight only earns its premium when speed has clear commercial value. Our team will run the comparison for your specific shipment — see also our ocean vs air freight guide.
What's included in our LCL service
